The gardens

The Nine Centers

Your BodyGraph shows nine energy centers. We call them gardens, because that's how they behave: living plots you're always tending, whether you mean to or not.

Each center cares for one part of life — thinking, speaking, feeling, doing, surviving. On your chart, a center is either colored in (defined) or white (open). That one distinction explains an enormous amount about you.

Colored vs white, in one breath

Colored (defined)
A steady garden. This energy is reliably yours — consistent, familiar, always on. You broadcast it; others feel it from you.
White (open)
A garden with no fence. You take in and amplify other people's energy here. This is where your wisdom lives — and where you can get pulled off course by living as if it were defined.

Neither is better. A defined center isn't superior and an open center isn't broken. Every garden is a gift, and every garden has a trap: the gift of the open is wisdom, the trap is identifying with what passes through.

Head — the pressure to think

The Head holds mental pressure: questions, inspiration, doubt. Defined: inspiration comes on its own schedule and the pressure feels familiar. Open: you take in everyone else's questions and can drown in mental noise that was never yours. Wisdom: knowing which questions are worth answering.

Ajna — how you process

The Ajna conceptualizes: opinions, beliefs, answers. Defined: you process in a fixed way and your opinions feel solid. Open: you can genuinely see all sides, which is a gift — the trap is feeling pressured to seem certain when you're not.

Throat — voice and doing

The Throat speaks and acts — it's where energy becomes form. Defined: a consistent voice; people recognize how you sound. Open: you amplify whoever you're with and may talk just to get attention, or to fill a silence. Wisdom: your words land hardest when they're invited.

G Center — identity and direction

The G is your compass: identity, love, direction in life. Defined: a steady sense of who you are and where you're headed. Open: identity and direction shift with your company — you always know exactly who everyone else is. The trap: chasing love or direction from others instead of letting it find you.

Heart — will and worth

The Heart (Ego) holds willpower, courage, and your sense of worth. Defined: will is available on tap; you know what you're worth. Open: you absorb others' will and may overpromise, overwork, and try to prove your worth. Wisdom: rest is not a failure of will.

Sacral — life force

The Sacral is pure life-force: work, creativity, sexuality. Only Generators and Manifesting Generators have it defined. Defined: deep, sustainable energy for what you love — and a gut that answers uh-huh or uh-uh. Open: you take in others' energy and may not know when enough is enough. The classic trap: working yourself to exhaustion on energy that was never yours.

Spleen — instinct and the body

The Spleen is the body's ancient knowing: instinct, intuition, health, survival, timing. Defined: your instincts are consistent — that quiet hit, once, in the moment. Open: you take in others' fears and may hold onto people, habits, or places long past their expiry date. Wisdom: the first hit was the true one.

Solar Plexus — the emotional wave

The Solar Plexus is feeling itself: desire, sensitivity, emotional depth. Defined: you ride an emotional wave — up, down, and through — and clarity comes with time, never in the moment. Open: you amplify the emotions around you and may avoid hard truths to keep the peace. Wisdom: you can read a room like weather.

Root — pressure and fuel

The Root is pressure: stress, deadlines, the drive to get things done. Defined: you meet pressure in your own steady rhythm. Open: you absorb everyone else's urgency and rush just to feel free of it — then wonder why you're exhausted. Wisdom: pressure is information, not an order.
